Transient & Turbulent simulation fail with "Time Varying" time step option

I have been trying to carryout a simulation of a flexible pipe type(blood vessel) simulation which I have mentioned before in another post. But the new problem is that my simulation is not running with the new setup where I have considered a rigid wall(fixed).I have attached the xml file below. Notes...

Re: Coupling with Code_Aster

Guideline on how to chain Aster and Saturne can be found here:   http://www.advancedmcode.org/open-source-fluid-structure-interaction-chaining-code_aster-and-code_saturne.html The link does not work. Can you please direct me to a working link?Would highly appreciate it.Thank you.I have the same kind...

Re: ALE method and Internal Coupling Problem

Thanks a lot for all the guidance uptil now @Yvan Fournier Sir and  @Luciano Garelli Sir.I did not quite understand how I can define or specify the wall deformation(I did not find the option but yes the velocity I did find ,are you refering to using the veolicty to define displacements?)?.Also can i...

Re: ALE method and Internal Coupling Problem

Could you tell me the steps please?Any tutorial or guide to carry it out. Also is it too hard?I mean would it require extensive knowledge of Code Aster?

Re: ALE method and Internal Coupling Problem

Hello, As Luciano said, I think you have misunderstood the internal coupling capabilities: it allows to solve the motion of a rigid body under the fluid forces, it is not a CFD-FEM coupling tool. Therefore, no solid mesh can be included. Please provide more details about your case in order to discu...

Re: ALE method and Internal Coupling Problem

Hello, Do you need to solve a fluid-structure interaction problem? or Will you impose de mesh deformation? The Internal Coupling option does not solve the elasticity equations. Also, you can post the log file in order to help you with the error. Please check the Code_Saturne usage forum guidelines ...

ALE method and Internal Coupling Problem

Hello, I am doing a simulation of blood flow in artery and wanted to use the ALE(Deformable mesh) and Internal Coupling options for finding the deformation of flexible wall of artery. However the calculation is aborted while running ALE and says"The absolute value of the discriminant of the disp...

Re: How to add monitoring points csv file ?

Hello Yvan, Here is an example of a working csv file. The following syntax shall be fulfilled (Example for 3 monitoring probes) : x,y,z 0.1,0.1,0.5 0.2,0.7,0.4 0.7,0.5,0.3 Comma must be use as letters and values separator Hope it will help some users Yes it sure does. Thanks a bunch. Also since you ...

Mass Matrix,Stiffness Matrix,Damping matrix description

I needed to know where the values of normalized mass and normalized stiffness came from in the tutorial for FSI in the documentation?Have these values been defined previously?Could anyone help me in that?
