Re: About adding boundary layer to the mesh

Hello, I just read in the NEWS file of the master branch this " Added boundary layer insertion at selected faces, using a mesh deformation (CDO vertex-based), followed by boundary layer extrusion. ". I have no test this feature. You can download CS from the master branch and test it. Why not use Sal...

Re: About adding boundary layer to the mesh

Hello,

I think that this feature is available at the master branch or the 5.2.0 version of the code as I read in the NEWS file. Why not to do it in Salome with the same strategy as the left boundary of the mesh?

Regards,

Luciano

Re: free surface in paraview

Hello,

I assume that you have a displacement vector as result of the CS simulation, so you can use the "warp by vector" filter. Also, you have a scale factor parameter to "scale" these displacement.

Re: How to simulate the thermal transfer in solid directly in Code Satune

Hello, As Yvan mention I was working with a colleague on a previous iteration of this part of the code, but I never use the radiation module of CS. Did you try to use the radiation module with internal coupling? I think that may be the problem is how to set the BC in the new created internal wall. I...

Re: lift force calculation

Hello, What version are you using? In version 5.0.8 when you open the "advanced options" in the turbulence model and select "No wall function" and save it, the value in the xml file is set to "0". But if you open it again the "2 scale model" appear like if the option has not been saved (May be a GUI...

Sliding BC in ALE framework

Hello, I was solving a problem with a deformable mesh and everything i it's ok with fixed boundaries but when I set sliding boundary for the mobile mesh (ialtyb(ifac) = igliss) the behavior is not what I expected when wall BC is used in the fluid. In the documentation is mention that "ialtyb(ifac) =...

Re: Calculation Restart Problems

Hello,

It's strange... you should have the number of iterations of each run, like in the following example.
Captura.png
You can force the flush of the listing, residuals ant time_stat using the control_file, check the user guide there is info about the use of the control_file.

Re: Calculation Restart Problems

Hello, In order to restart a simulation do you have to go to Calculation management tab and switch on the "calculation restart". After that you have to select the Checkpoint directory of your previous run and set the new number of time steps to be run (Doxygen CS : "For the restart calculations, ntm...

Re: coupling with code_aster deformation issues

Hello Paul, Yes, we are trying to solve the same problem. I solved a structural problem with CA with the help of a colleague, using the dyna_non_line in order to characterize the added damping to the structure using the AMOR_ALPHA and AMOR_BETA in the material definition. I attach a fig with the res...
