Re: heat transfer in water fluid with steam

Hello kathi, You will need Code_Aster to calculate the stresses and deformations in the solid as neither Code_Saturne nor SYRTHES will do this type of calculation. It is possible to couple Code_Aster and Code_Saturne but I have never tried myself nor a 3 way coupling between Code_Saturne, SYRTHES an...

Re: heat transfer in water fluid with steam

Hello, The best approach for modelling conjugate heat transfer problems is to use Code_Saturne coupled with SYRTHES . Here, I'm assuming that you are just wanting to model the temperature field inside the solid and the heat exchange with the fluid. Assuming that you are cooling the solid with water:...

Re: gamma, Cv, and Cp

Hello, Concerning point 2), you can use cs_user_physical_properties to set the value of Cp. For point 3), §8.7 of the V3.0 user guide details of what physical properties can be modified using the routines uscfx1 and uscfx2. More information on points 3) and 1) may also be provided by others on this ...

Re: Tutorial about the coupling simulation with SYRTHES

Hello, I've used the files that you have uploaded to set up your case on my machine. However, it doesn't run for which reasons it is not clear. So, I set up a new case using the mesh that you supplied. This runs okay and gives results of the temperature distribution in the three discs. The attached ...

Re: Outout of mass or volume flow

Hello,

You can use the routine cs_user_extra_operations to output mass or volume flow. The attached file gives an example for different boundary conditions in the flow domain.

Re: Theroy manual - Electrical Arc

Hello Eric,

I've looked at the pages for electric arcs. There is quite a lot to translate so is there or are there particular sections on the pages that you have quoted that represent a blocking point, e.g. passages of text without equations?

Regards,

Brian Angel.

Re: Theroy manual - Electrical Arc

Hello,

If you can let me know what sections of the manual that you need help with then I should be able to do some translation for you to help you move forward.
