Re: Drag Coefficient Calculation in version 3.0.5

Hello, The routines in the SRC/REFERENCE directory are to be used in the SRC directory once you have coded what you want to do. The routines in the SRC/EXAMPLES directory are there to give you an indication of what variables are available and how they can be coded. If the coding in the routine in th...

Re: Porous media modelling

Hello, Attached is an example of porous media modelling in Code_Saturne v3.2.1. The geometry and mesh were generated using SALOME and the calculation has run for 1000 iterations in Code_Saturne. The file Porous_Media_GeomMesh.hdf.tgz is the SALOME file which contains the geometry, mesh and various b...

Re: Porous media modelling

Hello As far as I'm aware porous media is modelled as a source terms in Code_Saturne and yes you can model an anisotropic porous medium. In at least v3.2.1 and v4, which I've used for porous media modelling, the porous media can be set-up via the GUI or the user routines usporo.f90 and uskpdc.f90. P...

Re: What is idjr in uselrc.f90

Hello, Okay, good that you have found it. Another way to search for variables is to: - click on "Documentation" on the Code_Saturne home page - then click on the link "Doxygen" on the panel "Documentation" - below the title Documentation, click on "Doxygen Code_Sat...

Re: how achieve particle concentration with lagrangian metho

Hello, In a sense the volume fraction is a representation of the particle concentration in a given cell as it represents the fraction of a given cell occupied by the second phase. In the routine lagcou.f90 in the source code supplied with Code_Saturne there are two variables, volp and volm, that are...

Re: Opening like boundary condition

Hello, Below is an example of coding using a free inlet-outlet boundary types condition for two different boundaries. This coding has worked for us on another case where a pressure is used to drive the flow. call getfbr('outlet', nlelt, lstelt) !========== do ilelt = 1, nlelt ifac = lstelt(ilelt) it...

Re: Drag Coefficient Calculation in version 3.0.5

Hello, You can print the forces on the wall to the listing file using for example the user routine cs_user_extra_operations.f90. If you look in the EXAMPLES directory in the SRC directory located in the Code_Saturne directory structure where you are running your calculation, there are example routin...

Re: What is idjr in uselrc.f90

Hello, If you cannot find a particular variable name in the different user guides, it is often informative to execute the "grep -R" command in the source code directories to try to find what one is looking for. I have just executed "grep -R idjr ." in the source code directory. T...

Re: Error during calculation

Hello, The only thing that I can think of is some incompatibility between v3.0.6 of Code_Saturne and v14.04 of Ubuntu. As previously mentioned, in using v2.0, v3.0.1 and v3.2.1 of Code_Saturne with v13.03 of Ubuntu I sometimes have the problem that you have encounter but can get around it. Is it pos...
