Thermal viscous layer for oil flow

Hello, I would like to simulate an oil turbulent flow with a wall thermal transfer. So, I use a low-Reynolds turbulence model and my mesh is created to have Y+ equal to 1. To simulate the thermal viscous layer, do I have to have a T+ value equal to 1? In my case, the Prandtl number is equal to 60. S...

Re: CS without graphic display

Hello

Sorry my late answer ! I have worked on Ubuntu in recent months.

I launch the code_saturne command in the case directory (See as an attachement).

Regards,

Guillaume

Re: installation Salome+CS+Syrthes via VM on ubuntu 15.10

Hello, I had the same error but I re install the syrthes codes taking into account the Yvan post (Jeu Jan 07, 2016 9:53 am ): http://code-saturne.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1791&hilit=3disks2D&start=10 To path files, I use the command: find /home -type f -name "ecrire_fichier.c&q...

Re: installation Salome+CS+Syrthes via VM on ubuntu 15.10

Hello I try to install Salome 7.6.0, Code Saturne 4.0.5 and Syrthes 4.3 via Oracle VM Virtual Box 5.1.0 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. So I have very carefully read your discussion. The installation of Salome and CS is OK and I was able to launch the tutorial 1 (Simplified nuclear vessel with salome and witho...

CS without graphic display

Hello,
I would like to use CS without graphic display to perform a parametric optimization with windows 7 64bits.

I try with the windows command prompt:
“code_saturne.exe run –param text.xml”
But there is an execution error

Thanks
Guillaume

Re: Oil heat transfer with a low flow speed

Hello, Thank you for your answer. The low speed and the inlet pressure are known. I want to evaluate the heat transfer, the outlet temperature and the outlet pressure (to obtain the pressure drop). For the inlet, I will use the velocity and thermal dirichlet condition and, for the outlet, a thermal ...

Oil heat transfer with a low flow speed

Hello, I would like to evaluate the wall heat transfer for a low oil flow speed (0.001m/s) with a high pressure (15bar) in a thin pipe (diameter = 0.002m) Code_Saturne can realize simulations with the following configuration: - Pipe diameter = 2 mm - Pipe length > 0.5 m - Oil density = 885 kg/m3 - O...

Re: Maillage structuré ou non-structuré

Thanks you for your answer Another question: Salome can create a structured mesh and export this mesh ? The "hexahedron (i,j,k)" function can create a structured mesh but I don't export my mesh to visualize with paraview structured function (Extract subset function). If the anwser is not, ...
