Re: CS5 & syrthes
Hi Yvan, it was indeed a conflict with the Ubuntu package, and I solved it removing the package and recompiling manually. I've added a --prefix to my configuration script, do you think this will allow multiple versions of CS without conflicts? Thank you very very much for your help, Kind regards Filip

CS5 & syrthes
Dear All, I was wondering if CS5 still supports Syrthes4.3 coupling? I seem to have a strange problem as I currently can no longer use CS with syrthes coupling. Every time I try to run I seem to get strange communication errors such as: Application "fluid" (Code_Saturne 4.2.0) syncronized ...

Re: code saturne probe to syrthes source coupling
Hi Yvan, thank you very much for your reply. I'm a bit at a loss as I've never worked on a project of this size, let alone 2 at the same time. If you don't mind I'd like to ask you some advise/guidance on this. First of all, I'm trying to make it right, to have a solution that is in line with the de...

code saturne probe to syrthes source coupling
Dear all, I'm currently using CS 4.2 & Syrthes 4.3, on linux. I'm modelling a coupled system between solid and fluid: depending on the temperature of the outlet, I'm trying to change a heat source in the solid part in syrthes. So far I've successfully edited the user functions file in syrthes to...

Re: import meshes from OpenFOAM
Hi Yvan, thank you for your reply. I don't think there is such an option in foamToEnsightParts, but given my little experience with it I may be totally wrong. I've found a way to solve the problem and if it's ok I'd like to post it? I've found a tool: foamMeshToMED, by mortbauer: https://github.com/...

import meshes from OpenFOAM
Hello everyone, I'm facing a little problem as I have to import a mesh from OpenFOAM into CS (4.2). Is there any tool available to export meshes from OF to CS? I currently have both software installed, so I tried the VTK export (but CS doesn't support VTK meshes?). I tried the foamToEnsightParts but...

Re: syrthes coupling not updating
Good morning Yvan, thank you very much for looking into this. I've tried to replicate http://code-saturne.org/cms/sites/default/files/file_attach/Tutorial/version-3.0/Three-2D-disks.pdf which I've seen is called "Case 6" or Three 2D disks. I'm sorry for creating this confusion. As I didn't...

Re: syrthes coupling not updating
Hello Yvan, thank you for your reply. I'm attaching the compressed logs. If I'm forgetting anything else please let me know, I'm still very new to CS and I'm really grateful for your help. CS version 4.1.1 Syrthes version 4.3.0 Thank you very much, Filip (Edit: sorry I meant to click the upload file...

syrthes coupling not updating
Hello everyone, sorry for bothering you with what is probably a trivial question but I really cannot find the answer to it. I'm trying to replicate case6 from the tutorials using CS_4.1.1 and Syrthes 4.3 (latest available atm). I'm having the problem that CS seems to get the initial boundary conditi...
