Re: Boundary conditions partition

Hello Yvan and thanks again. I did merge nodes with Salome and it seemed to be ok; but there comes another problem: I defined the boundary groups with Salome as Inlet, Outlet, Airfoil and Farfield. After the export of mesh as a .CGNS file and after running the check mesh, I got the following info fr...

Boundary conditions partition

Hello again, I have some problems with the definition of boundary conditions in code_saturne. To create the mesh (with Salome 7.6.0) I did some partitions of the flow domain (partition faces are the red lines in the attached screenshot). How can I define the BC's on these faces? If I define them as ...

Velocity Initialization

Hello dear users, Actually I have 2 questions but I wouldn't like to create 2 threads ;) 1) Is there any possibility to initialize different velocities for different zones (e.g. for Inlet and not(inlet)) under "volume conditions" and disable the option "all cells"? If I select ju...

Re: BC error (BC does not correspond to any boundary face)

Finally I solved the problem. I forgot to define only one face which belongs to my wing blade and this was causing the error. But now it works!

Re: BC error (BC does not correspond to any boundary face)

...or maybe do you know how do I export the mesh from Ansys Fluent in code_saturne with correctly defined BC's?

Re: BC error (BC does not correspond to any boundary face)

Hello, Actually I gave the same names of boundaries while creating "named selections" (with only the first letter as a capital letter). Anyway I changed the definition of boundary regions in code_saturne to capital letters only; but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. I'll search fo...

Re: BC error (BC does not correspond to any boundary face)

Hello Yvan and thanks for an answer. - So, my version of code_saturne is 4.0 - Hier is my preprocessor.log: preprocessor.log - listing: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zfl9exqa4t414j1/listing?dl=0 - And mesh: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6o4et3524xktmqm/Mesh_3_m.cgns?dl=0 (by some reason I cant put these fil...

BC error (BC does not correspond to any boundary face)

Dear users, Recently I run a simulation for a turbine blade using a mesh generated with Salome and it worked quite well, but the mesh was actually not really "good" (some non-orthogonal cells, skewness at boundary/viscous layers, etc.) The mesh was imported in code_saturne as a .MED file. ...

View of initial conditions

Hello dear users,

is there a possibility in code_saturne to view the initial conditions in Paraview, like this results.case?

Thanks in advance
