orthotropic and temperature-dependent heat conduction in Syrthes possible?

hello, is it possible with Syrthes to model an orthotropic AND temperature-dependent heat conduction? In the user guide (syrthes4_user_guide.pdf) I find in chap 3.1.3 "Materials handled" : Cp = Cp (x, y, z, t, T, . . . ) which means that the heat conduc coef may depend on Temperature. Is t...

Syrthes - how calc reaction heat at nodes with fixed temp. ?

hello how can one calculate the reaction heat at nodes with a fixed temperature (=nodes which have a Diriclet boundary condition)? I tried to get it with the surface energy balance keyword, like this: /BILAN FLUX SURFACIQUES= 12 where 12 is the reference (group of face elements) of the conduction me...

Re: Syrthes extra questions

hello Jorge, I m also concerned with the visualization of the heat flux. I have done the conversion of the syrthes result file "resu.add" containing the heat fluxes, to .med-format. The resulting file name is "resu_add_rdt.med". When importing this in ParaVis (or in GMSH) it seem...

Re: simulation of a flow out from a nozzle with a free surfa

Yvan, many thanks!

the project in question has been delayed, but I hope to return soon to the matter and then to use CodeSaturne

simulation of a flow out from a nozzle with a free surface

hello I m very new to CodeSaturne, so I search first informations for this problem: I want to simulate a stationary flow problem: a jet (or beam) of gas coming out from a nozzle. The tube with nozzle is vertical to a plate and at some distance from it. The flow hits vertically on that plate and the ...

Re: syrthes refuses to run due to not-installed MPI

and here the syrthes input file "3disks.syd" . .

( I had to rename it from "3disks.syd" to "3disks_syd.ini" because the file uploader of this forum told me that the file extension .syd is not allowed)
