Turbomachinery Test Case
Would be possible to get some test cases for turbomachinery, as described in the presentation of last years user meeting for example http://code-saturne.org/cms/sites/default/files/file_attach/ClubU_2013/Posters/poster_benoit_club-U_2013.pdf or also in this years user meeting http://code-saturne.org...

Re: Face Joining, suspected bug
That is the best what could be, just a fault of mine! I already investigated quite much, but if one wants to add some extra source terms, it is a lot to learn about the code. But as you pointed out cjanging ivarpr to true did the trick. Thank you Yvan for your quick help and also pointing me at poss...

Re: Adaptive Mesh Refinement
Thank you Yvan for the detailed answer, I was yesterday also wrapping my head around using homard but found several problems, some easier and some more difficult, i think i will lskip that road. About the mesh multiplication, i read about it, it sound really interesting, but actually don't know if i...

Adaptive Mesh Refinement
Hello Is there some way to use adaptive mesh refinement? Or even just interface to some external software which does refinement lets say every tenth iteriation? I must admit that I never have done adaptive mesh refinement so far but it would be useful to have and I thought since you are optimizing c...

Face Joining, suspected bug
Hey I just wanted to understand some parts in the code related to coriolis force source term so i created an additional postprocessing output which sets all elements with (irotce.ne.0) to 1 and everything else to 0 (I therefore use cs_user_postprocess_var and loop through all cells and check the iro...

Re: Usage advice compressible vs low-mach
I guess my question was a bit to general. I of course know that below a Mach number of 0.3 it is considered to be incompressible and vice versa. Actually I did run calculations with both possibilities. The problem with the idilat variant is that it highly instable, because I wanna model the density ...

Usage advice compressible vs low-mach
Can somebody maybe point out the major difference between the low-mach algorithm idilat=3 vs the compressible module. And is there any documentation for the low-mach algorithm?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Centrifugal Force and Coriolis Force
I just assumed until now that the centrifugal force term and coriolis force term are added to the momentum equation if i specify a coriolis source term in the gui, but i'm not so sure anymore. Can you please clarify if these two terms are added, and maybe also point me to the piece of source code wh...

Re: Thermal Model
I'm still working on this problem, actually the thing is that the energy balance seems not to be done correctly for a rotating reference frame. I found in the fluent documentation [http://aerojet.engr.ucdavis.edu/fluenthelp/html/ug/node416.htm equation 10.2-6) how the the quation should be, and sinc...

Re: Thermal Model
for now i didn't use the compressibel model. Ok so without the compressible model, there will be no thermal effect due to compression, but dissipation would be taken into account? The compressibel model would take both effects into account? Do you know if the compressibel module is compatible with t...
