cs_user_mesh.c

Hello, I am using the routine cs_user_mesh.c to do two things: 1) create a series of thin walls in my volume mesh 2) collect all the free faces in my mesh in order to give them a wall type boundary condition For 1): I wish to collect a volume of cells and convert all the cell faces in this volume fr...

Re: Problems with periodicity by rotation

Hello, That is strange as the case I uploaded works here without any problems. Can you let me know: 1) how you have generated your Code_Saturne "study" and "case" directories 2) in which directory the volume mesh is located 3) the identity and paths that are shown in the GUI Can you also upload the ...

Re: Opening like boundary condition

Hello, Below is the coding that we have used for the free inlet-outlet boundary condition with a given pressure. You will need to change the name of the group from XXXX to the name of the group that you are using and also comment out the lines for specifying a pressure if you do not want to fix a pr...

Re: Problems with periodicity by rotation

Hello, The attached test case PERIODIC.tgz will show you what I mean. If you look in the Periodic Boundaries panel you will see that the text for coupling the two periodic boundaries that I have called P1 and P2 is "P1 or P2". Hence, you should use the text "plane_1 or plane_2" for your case. When y...

Re: Problems with periodicity by rotation

Hello,

You only need to specify one periodic boundary set. Can you try the following under the entry "Selection Criteria" on the "Periodic Boundaries" panel:

plane_1 or plane_2

That should work.

Brian Angel.

Re: Mass flow balance issue

Hello, It would seem that you are using cell values, propce, to calculate the mass flow in and out of your domain. I think that you should use boundary face values, variable propfb if I remember correctly. The use of face values should also result in flux2 and flux3 being zero given that your bounda...

Re: uselen subroutine change from CS 2.0 to CS 3.0

Hello, I have been looking through the src/elec source code directory for CS v3.0.1. In v2.0, the routine uselen.f90 has various "if" conditions related to "ippmod(ieljou)". If I do a grep -R of "ieljou" in the v3.0 src/elec directory, I can see the same "if" conditions in the routines elini1, elflu...

Re: Drag Coefficient Calculation in version 3.0.5

Hello, I forgot to add that another good way to search for variables and to better understand Code_Saturne is to look at the Code_Saturne programmers documentation. This can be found as follows: - click on "Documentation" on the Code_Saturne home page - then click on the link "Doxygen" in the "Docum...
