Scalar source term using the GUI on CS V4

Hello everybody I am using Code_Saturne V4.0.4 on Windows. I don't understand the usage of mathematical expression editor for species sources term. Once I defined my volume region and my scalar, I have to set my source term by setting S and DS in the mathematical expression editor but there is no ex...

Mass flow balance issue

Hello everybody, I am working on Code Saturne 2.0.6 I have a mass flow balance issue in a simple case. My mesh is hexahedral and regular. I put an inlet condition for a number of boundary faces on the up left of the domain and an outlet condition for an identical number of boundary faces on the down...

Easy way to determine if point is in fluid domain?

Hi everybody, Is there a simple way to determine if a point (x,y,z) is in the fluid domain ? For example if we have a fluid domain with obstacles (that could be complex), it is difficult to define conditions based on geometrical criteria. Does a simple test exists to determine if we are in or out ? ...

Re: Atmospherics module and sedimentation flag

Hi again, I have moved on the version 3.2.2 of code saturne. I re built my case with the same parameters. I have now an error message before calculation stage (whereas it is the same calculation than v3.0.1) : SIGFPE signal (floating point exception) intercepted! Call stack: 1: 0x2ba03c2f55bb <+0x26...

Atmospherics module and sedimentation flag

Hello Everybody, I am using Code Saturne V3.0.1 and the humid atmospherics module. I have a problem when setting the sedimentation flag to 1 (routine atini1). When I do a mono processor run, my calculation ends correctly but crash at the second iteration when I do a parallel run (no matter the numbe...

Re: Internal face to wall

Hi again Yvan (sorry for called you Jacques...)

I another question : is it possible to do a restart of a calculation in which I define a thin wall ?

I mean : do a first calculation with a mesh and then implement my thin wall in it for a restart ?

regards
cyril

Re: Internal face to wall

Hello Jacques, I am working on a v2.0.4 of code_saturne. Thank you for your answer. I think that it is what I need : "The user subroutine cs_user_mesh_thinwall allows insertion of thin walls in the calculation mesh. Currently, this subroutine simply transforms the selected internal faces into b...

Internal face to wall

Hello everybody, I would like to model a simple duct closure/opening. For the moment the only solution I found is to set and modify a pressure loss in time at the closing/opening location. This method unfortunately deos not take into account wall properties and I think a diffusion of my scalar still...
