Re: Fire modelling using code_saturne7.0.5
Dear all, Please find enclosed my case folder in order to allow you to manipulate my case. I removed the results as the latter where a bit to heavy to be upload. :) @Yvan, Regarding the question of the thermal scalar, I was also wondering about how the thermal losses radiation are taking into accoun...

Re: Fire modelling using code_saturne7.0.5
Good afternoon, Description of my issue Following my previous message, please find there an update regarding my fire simulation issues. As a reminder, I am trying to model a (very) simple propane gas fire using code_saturne and Salome. The final aim is to make a small benchmark between FDS (CFD soft...

Fire modelling using code_saturne7.0.5
Dear all, :D System information My code_saturne version is 7.0.5. My salome version is 9.9.0. Description of my issue I am trying to model a (very) simple gas fire using code_saturne and salome. My aim is to make a kind of benchmark between FDS (which is a software I already used a lot) and code_sat...

Re: Inserting Boundary layer elements
Hello, I made a try this morning with a "complicated" shape involving straight and rounded part, created using the Salome geometry module. I did not get any problem despite the complexity of the shape so I gess that the problem come from the foil geometry which I guess was imported from an...

Re: Inserting Boundary layer elements
Thank you for your post on the implementation of Salome_CFD. As you said, it is not worth the time spending on it. I already spent two days on it... The two software work fine separately and as long as there is not an easier way to make it, I do not see the point to make that operation. Regarding th...

Re: Inserting Boundary layer elements
Dear trilbytim, I am a very newcomer on Code_Saturne so actually, I did not have so much experience on it and I am currently spending times on tutorial cases to be familiar with the soft as you are currently doing ^^'. Unfortunately, I still did not have tried to implement this kind of mesh for now....

Re: Inserting Boundary layer elements
Dear trilbytim, I tried to run a case using your mesh but for an unknown reason, I can't even launch the case (the "run" button is greyed and unusable). Seems the format of the mesh is not recognised by my code_saturne version. Could you eventually please provide it using .MED format ? For...

Re: Inserting Boundary layer elements
Hello, I am still not very familiar with code Saturne so I won't be able for now to answer the second part of your question. Nevertheless, assuming that you are currently working on a Linux Ubuntu distribution, the installation step (which is quite complicated, that's true) must have created a folde...
